Why Glen Waverley owners drive past closer clinics
Glen Waverley owners who have made the drive give their reasons in their reviews. "Annual Vax for a Shiba Inu was super straightforward and well-priced. Also had a check-up which felt thorough and sincere," one owner wrote in July 2026. Another, in June: "a local vet who actually listens to you and is extremely thorough! Very reasonably priced." A third described "a lovely small practice" where the vet "speaks in normal terms" and gives "genuine time to discuss during consult". The vets are Dr Jessica Goh, who founded the clinic after 15 years in practice, and Dr Angela, a University of Melbourne graduate. After the examination you get an itemised estimate for anything beyond the consult, and if the plan changes during treatment the team calls you before doing more.

The price before you book
A $118 consult, vaccinations $140 to $160, and the rest of the list above. Anything beyond the consult is quoted before it happens.
Separate cat and dog rooms
Cats are examined in their own consult room and recover in their own ward, away from the dogs. Two entrances mean a nervous animal goes straight to a room.
Certified canine rehabilitation on site
Dr Jess is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist: arthritis plans, laser therapy and post-op conditioning happen at the clinic, without a referral across town.
3.5 km up Springvale Road
Straight up Springvale Road from The Glen, right onto Burwood Highway at the lights, and the clinic is 1.3 km along at Hartland Road. Free parking behind the clinic.
Pets in Glen Waverley
Glen Waverley is the largest suburb the clinic serves: 42,642 people at the 2021 Census, in 11,428 separate houses, 1,534 townhouses and 1,469 flats. A cat in one of the flats or townhouses around The Glen and the station lives indoors, and an indoor cat's two most common problems are weight and teeth: the nutrition page covers weight plans and the dentistry page explains what a scale and polish involves. A cat straining in the litter tray is an urgent-care case, and ultrasound is on site.
The houses mean backyards, and Highview Park at 51 to 58 Springvale Road, a Monash Council off-leash area, sits between The Glen and the highway. After a run there from spring on, check between the toes and in the ears for grass seeds; the guide shows the early signs. The same Census counted 6,147 couple families with children; if a first pet is arriving at yours, the first visit covers vaccinations, parasite cover, desexing timing and feeding.
For the north of the suburb, the 75 tram stops at Springvale Road and Burwood Highway and ends opposite the clinic.

Things Glen Waverley owners ask
How much does a consult cost, and what is included?
A routine consultation is $118 and includes the examination, the discussion of what the vet found and a plan you take home. A vaccination visit is $140 to $160 with a health check in the same appointment. Anything beyond the consult, such as blood tests, imaging or a procedure, is quoted to you first.
Do you give an estimate before treatment?
Yes, before any test or procedure beyond the consult. After the examination the team writes up the cost of each recommended step, talks through the options with you and starts only when you have agreed. If something changes part-way through treatment, you get a call before more is done. VetPay and Afterpay are available.
Why do people from Glen Waverley come to Vermont South?
The clinic is 3.5 km up Springvale Road, four minutes by car. The reasons Glen Waverley owners give in their reviews are the price list, an estimate before anything, consults that are not rushed, and a small team where you see Dr Jessica Goh or Dr Angela each time.
Do cats have their own room?
Yes. There are separate cat and dog consult rooms and separate wards, so a cat is examined and recovers away from dogs. Two entrances let a nervous cat go straight to a room, and there are privacy areas for animals that need quiet. Mention it when you book.
Can my pet be seen the same day?
For something urgent, call 03 9968 7771 and the team fits urgent cases into the day where they can; walk-ins are triaged on arrival during opening hours. The clinic is open until 7pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and until 3pm Saturday, and X-ray, ultrasound and blood tests are done on site the same day.
Where do I go for an after-hours emergency from Glen Waverley?
Call the clinic on 03 9968 7771 whatever the hour. When the clinic is closed the prompts connect you to a vet nurse, free of charge and with no need to be a client, who helps you decide whether it can wait. If it cannot, they give you the name of the nearest emergency hospital; if it can, you get advice for the night and a follow-up is booked when the clinic opens.
